Privacy Notice
Let's make this clear and simple. No-one’s got time for a waffling privacy notice.
Who we are, what we do, and how we use your data
We are The Breaker Collective, a community providing space and services for women to balance work, self-care, and motherhood.
When you contact us or join our waitlist, we collect the necessary information to respond to you, to provide you with updates, or to ascertain your location and interests. We also plan to use this information to begin processing our first members. This is based on our 'legitimate interests.'
We retain this information only for as long as necessary to resolve your query, for as long as you're interested in our updates, to which you can opt-out of at any time, or until we officially launch and you become a member. All of this is done via Gmail and GDrive, from Google, and Squarespace.
Before we officially launch our membership, we’ll update this notice to include more info about how we intend to process any additional data we need to get you up and running, and to keep you going, as a member.
Cookies
You'll notice we don't have a cookie banner. That's because we only use essential cookies necessary for our website to function properly. If you ever notice a cookie you believe is non-essential, please let us know.
Contacting us
You can reach us at admin@thebreakercollective.com.
Your rights
As per UK GDPR, you have rights over your personal data:
You can access the personal data we hold about you.
You can correct any personal data we hold if it's incorrect.
You can ask us to erase any personal data we hold without a legitimate purpose.
You can receive a machine-readable copy of your personal data under consent or a contract, neither of which are applicable at the moment.
You can ask us to stop processing your personal data unless we have a legal or contractual obligation to do so.
You can prevent any wholly automated decisions involving personal data, but we don't do this, so it's redundant in our case.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we're handling your data, you can complain to the ICO. Their details are at www.ico.org.uk. But we would greatly appreciate if you contacted us first, there’s not much we can’t achieve when we work together.
